Using the Shopify Theme Editor

The Theme Editor is where you'll customize every aspect of your Boardwalk storefront. It's a visual, drag-and-drop interface that lets you add sections, rearrange content, and adjust settings — all without touching code.

To open the Theme Editor, go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin, find Boardwalk, and click Customize.

Here are a few key concepts to keep in mind:

Sections

Sections are the large building blocks of your pages. Each section (like Hero, Slideshow, Gallery, etc.) occupies a full-width row on the page. You can add, remove, and reorder sections using the sidebar.

Blocks

Blocks live inside sections and hold your actual content — text, images, buttons, icons, and more. Many Boardwalk sections use Group blocks as containers that can hold multiple child blocks.

Templates

Templates control which sections appear on specific page types (home, product, collection, etc.). You can create multiple templates for the same page type to use different layouts for different products or collections.
